Cookies and localStorage are different
A cookie is a small value a browser can send back with relevant website requests. localStorage keeps a value within the browser for a particular website and does not automatically attach it to network requests. Both can fall within rules governing storage or access on a device, depending on their purpose and the applicable law.
The website’s own scripts do not set HTTP cookies or load third-party tracking. The optional control below saves only an essential-only preference. It does not enable analytics, advertising or profiling, and declining to save anything does not restrict access to the guides.
